The £29.99 covers the first year plus setup, and it isn't part of your monthly plan. Domains renew yearly and are billed separately at cost — auto-renew is switched on by default so your site never drops off the internet, and you can turn it off any time. Renewal prices are set by the registry, not by us; we pass on exactly what it costs.
